DAI meets Kulturwerkstatt: Jazz concert FEAT. Monika Herzig, Reut Regev, Jasna Jovicevic & Friends

Get ready for jazz made in Indiana! In a time of separation, loneliness, loss, trauma and barriers, the DAI Nuremberg would like to invite you to an unforgettable virtual concert night live from the Kulturwerkstatt Auf AEG (Culture Workshop at AEG). We look forward to welcoming the German-American jazz pianist Monika Herzig together with the trombonist Reut Regev, the saxophonist Jasna Jovicevic, the guitarist Peter Kienle and the drummer Igal Foni in Nuremberg! The musical union of world-famous jazz musicians MoRe Jas Pig resulted not the least from musical and family ties and quarantine restrictions. All three leaders are working mothers, immigrants, scientists, and composers and are not afraid to cross borders. Brought together in quarantine with two husbands and musical companions, they have created an explosive mix of new jazz compositions that reflect the emotional rollercoaster of the past year.

Line up:
Monika Herzig (p)
Reut Regev (tb)
Jasna Jovicevic (saxes)
Igal Foni (dr)
Peter Kienle (bass)

The concert is an event of the German-American Institute Nuremberg e.V. in cooperation with the Kulturwerkstatt Auf AEG, with the kind support of the US Embassy Berlin and the Federal Foreign Office.

Date: Sunday 16th May at 7.30 pm
