Corona crisis: Case numbers 16th October

As of Friday, October 16th 2020, 12.30 pm, according to the Health Department of the city of Nuremberg there are presently 2,577 Nuremberg citizens registered as infected with the coronavirus. This number is up 63 cases from the day before. Of these, 398 people are currently in quarantine and 2,121 have been dismissed. The number of deaths related to Covid-19 is 58.

In the last seven days, there were 51.9 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

To date, 11,462 contacts have been identified, of which 1,223 people have been quarantined, 10,239 people have been released from their quarantine. In Nuremberg hospitals, six patients suffering from Covid-19 are currently being ventilated in intensive care units, another 28 people are being treated on regular wards.

For questions about Corona, citizens can use the public health department hotline number 0911 231-10644 available from Monday to Thursday from 8.30 am to 4 pm, and Friday from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm. It is unclear if this service is available in languages other than German.
