3rd Recording of The Sound of the Fugue in the Karl-Bröger-Tunnel

The third public recording of “The Sound of the Fugue” by the artist Winfried Baumann in the Karl Bröger Tunnel will take place on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 11 am. as part of the exhibition project “Symposium Urbanum Nuremberg”. The renowned Nuremberg artist and musician Helmut Kirsch will reinterpret the blue fugue no. 3 for the first time with guitar and electronic equipment.
The work “The Sound of the Fugue” is part of the art project “Extension 97/19” by Winfried Baumann which stands for a sculptural change in public space and offers low-threshold access for a wide variety of different groups.
Helmut Kirsch has been a guitarist in various bands since 1967. In the 70s he performed in the N.C. Brown Band he founded, including in the then legendary “To Act” Weissenohe. He played in the concert series “Across” in the New Museum in Nuremberg. In the pandemic year 2021, a total of 12 CDs were released: one CD each month with around 70 minutes. Music. His spectrum ranges from pop music to free improvisation.
