Exit racism No. 07 open air – racism and discrimination in the music industry
The project “we talk about it: exit racism” is an educational and awareness-raising project of we integrate e.V. on the subject of anti-racism and anti-discrimination. Events and discussions create a space to question racist thought patterns and to promote a democratic, tolerant and anti-racist society. As part of the “Trees for Human Rights” campaign, we draw attention to the music scene and shed light on racist and discriminatory structures in this area. What differences do BIPoC artists experience compared to white artists? What can be considered for equal treatment when booking? How can the music industry become an even more colorful and diverse place? Parallel to the event in the outdoor area, the exhibition will take place in the foyer of the Kulturwerkstatt auf AEG (Großer Saal, Nr. 1.01) on Saturday, 23rd July , 4 pm to 10 pm.
