20th edition of the Internationaler Comic-Salon in Erlangen
From 16th to 19th June 2022, around 20 exhibitions will showcase the diversity of the genre during the Comic Salon. More than 200 exhibitors will present their new publications at the fair. Around 400 artists will be present drawing live in front of the audience, read from their works or sign them. The organisers expect more than 25,000 visitors.
The Comic-Salon is considered the largest festival for graphic literature in the German-speaking world. It is organised by the city of Erlangen every two years. One of the highlights of the Comic-Salon is the presentation of the Max und Moritz Prize in various categories. The Japanese manga artist Naoki Urasawa receives the prize for his life’s work. Comedian Hella von Sinnen and writer Christian Gasser will host the Max and Moritz gala on Friday 17th June.
Feminism and gender diversity are the focus of this year’s 20th International Comic Salon in Erlangen.
