“Dog Day” at the Sensory Experience Field: Celebrating Germany’s Beloved Four-Legged Companions

On Sunday, June 18, 2023, the Sensory Experience Field at Wöhrder Wiese will come alive with wagging tails and playful barks as it celebrates “Dog Day.” This special event is dedicated to Germany’s favourite furry friends, where dog schools, associations, and institutions from the region gather to showcase the various roles and capabilities of these diligent four-legged helpers. Visitors can expect a delightful day filled with insights into dog care and training, as well as plenty of tips and information. The best part? No registration is required, and admission is included in the price of entry to the Sensory Experience Field.

Among the guests, the organisation “Therapiehunde Deutschland” will demonstrate how dogs can be utilised in medical treatments, highlighting their remarkable ability to provide comfort and support. “Hundefreunde Nürnberg-Fürth e. V” and “Easy Dogs” will share their expertise on dog training and behaviour, offering valuable advice to dog owners seeking guidance. In a cozy reading corner, children will have the joyous opportunity to read to specially trained therapy dogs, fostering self-confidence and a love for reading. For those curious about experiencing a guided tour with a guide dog, the Bavarian Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired will be present to provide this unique experience.

Please note that only service and assistance dogs are allowed within the Sensory Experience Field itself, accompanied by their trainers who can be found on-site.
