live concert: Armano at the Weinerei
Armano from Bamberg is a storyteller whose stories breathe the eternal haze of dark-panelled dives. At a time when the pubs were packed, the singer of Oporto and the See See Riders sat down alone in front of the recording mic for the first time. 5 Miles Down The Dirt Road is the name of his solo EP and that’s how the six songs sound. Dirty and raw, imbued with a longing for long nights, muddy shoe soles and the chirping of crickets that wakes the singer from sleep the next day.
There is no entrance fee, tickets or reservations at the Weinerei. Here, everything works according to the “pay-what-you-want” principle! We only charge €5 for access to the open drinks counter (wine, water, juice). At the Wednesday concerts, we collect donations for the wine shop (beer mug) and for the musicians (hat).
Wednesday night concerts are a regular event in the Weinerei. The Weinerei is a project by many volunteers to promote art and culture in Nuremberg.
