Hl. Margaretha, um 1513/15, Ausschnitt aus dem neu entdeckten Wandgemälde im Stephansdom

Exhibition: “AlbrECHT DÜRER? An enigmatic masterpiece” at the Albrecht-Dürer-Haus

Is it a real Dürer? A drawing that was found under a mural in Vienna’s St. Stephen’s Cathedral could lead back to the Nuremberg Master or his workshop. The Dürer-Haus is following the trail of this extraordinary find with its special exhibition “AlbrECHT DÜRER? An enigmatic masterpiece”, which the Albrecht-Dürer-Haus in Nuremberg is presenting from 21st May to 4th September. This exhibition transports visitors directly to St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Monuemnts Office, the St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Dresden University of Fine Arts, with special Dürer-themed lectures taking place on 21st May.

Opening hours: Tues–Fri from 10:00 am.–5:00 pm.; Sat–Sun from 10:00 am.–6:00pm. Additional opening hours: July through Sept. also Mon 10:00 am.–5:00 pm. Admission: €6,- (reduced €1.50).                                                      Picture: ©Annette T. Keller, artIMAGING, Berlin
