The Agojie, an all-female unit of warriors, defended the African kingdom of Dahomey in the 19th century with remarkable martial arts and ferocity the world had never seen before. Inspired by true events, ‘The Woman King’ follows the emotional and epic journey of General Nanisca as she recruits and prepares a next generation of warriors to fight an enemy that threatens to destroy their way of life. Because some things are worth fighting for!”
